Family day out at the Corn maze

We went out to Thanksgiving point to Cornbelly's Corn maze. It wasn't just the big cornfields there was all sorts of activities to do there. The kids had a good time. We did too but wow, we thought it would be nice cool fall weather. We melted! It was hot. Here the girls are inside the local jail. Kenzie didn't get it.

They had a Farm there too. There is a lot of things to do at Thanksgiving Point I had no idea. We were there for 5 hours and barely did it all. Kenzie got to ride on a Pony. They let me walk around with her she loved it. She held on tight. She's so tiny and riding a tiny little pony.

Maddie is the pro- held on like it was nothing. And when she went a 2cnd time she rode the big horse!

At the farm there was this cute little baby pony! She was trying to eat our stroller. We got a real good close up of her.

Ok this was intimidating! This Bull had gigantic horns! And he was sticking them through the fence when we walked by him. Jason grabbed a hold of one of them.

Nice huh

We couldn't remember what this was called! Just for the minute we were waiting for Maddie to take our picture was uncomfortable.

Maddie makes me laugh, she's like uhhh sure yeah whatever mom.

We found the face painting. The lady that painted Kenzie's face was impressed with how she just sat there and let her do it. She even asked to take her picture because she was so cute.

I was telling Jason this morning at least I can still do cute flowers and butterfly's on Kenzie cuz Maddie is all about the animals. But she is the cutest one I've ever seen. meooooow

The corn maze was cool. It had to of been at least 12' high! Here we are in the kiddie version of the real one. We were able to push the stroller in this one. But wow, when we went in the big one I carried Alex & Jason carried Kenzie. That was fun.... haaa yeah. It was a rough path I thought I was gona twist my ankle and it was hot! Stinkin heat. Maddie was worried we were really lost. It was funny. We couldn't wait to get out of it. It was neat though. We went up some stairs and got to over look the corn fields. It was HUGE!!!! We even took the shorter maze. Thank goodness cuz my arms were about to fall off carrying the babies around in there. Next year we'll have to try again when Kenzie can keep up with us.

They had lots of different play areas there. This was the princess play land. The kids got to dress up as Prince & Princesses.

It was a good day. I'm glad we did it. Amazing that it is fall and still 90 degrees out. I do love the fall. Tooele has an event next month that is nice and cool and the kids get to wear their costumes there so that will be fun.

The last camp trip of the season

Last weekend we headed up the canyon for the last trip of the summer. Usually you have to reserve a spot in this camp ground months ahead but in September its first come first serve so we made sure we arrived early. We got up there around 10am Thursday. After we set up camp we went for a walk. It was so nice & quiet up there. Hardly anyone had arrived yet and while we were out walking we found a new spot. It was perfect.

We ran back to camp and loaded up the trailer and while Jason hooked back up me and
Kenzie saved our spot. It was neat cuz it was tucked back in the trees and no other spots were near by it. Funny after all these years we had never noticed it. I think it is because the spot is so hidden you can't really see back there when someone is in it.

This spot has such a good view. Thick pine trees surrounded us.

There wasn't really anyone behind us either. They were a ways down. So at night it made me a little nervous. Wondering what was lurking in the darkness. In our other spot I knew what was in every direction around us. Over here there was just the forest. And they had signs posted all over up there about the bears. To be aware. We've learned you can't leave anything out up there at night or the Raccoons come in and destroy everything. We didn't hear them at all this year. I took this picture sitting from our picnic table.

My dad (aka Papa) built a trap when me and my brother were little that we took camping. It's completely harmless. We trap them and let them go. It's fun to see the chipmunks and squirrels up close. The love peanut butter. Just stick a little in the back of the cage and they come a running! We caught a lot this time.

Maddie named him Rocky. Then we let him go.

No hard feelings, he kept coming back for more.

There's a creek that runs through up there. Here's a great idea, keep the kid in the stroller. Haaaa no worries! She loved it to.

She could even bend over and touch the water. Maddie brought her water shoes and and fun running around in the freezing cold water.

We take a picture on the "Big Rock" every time we go up there. It's tradition. We have pictures of Jake & Erek doing the same thing when they were this age.

Alex is always so much more calm up there. He sleeps more in the day.... Too bad he didn't cooperate during the night.

As you can see here Kenzie is in daze. Yeah, from lack of sleep. Between her and Alex it was rough. And all 3 of the kids don't sleep in past 7am!

Can you even believe how big Maddie is? She's our camping girl. We do need to get her out and see other things though. Next year is going to be a lot of new adventures in different areas. We are going to got Disneyland and Yellowstone. Should be fun to try something new.

Hanging out

See the monkeys in our tree? Maddie and Niko can climb it like its nothing. They had a sleep over and were having fun in the yard.

We like to get up in the morning when its a cool and just sit on the patio in our PJ's.

And look who's sitting on his own!

Summer nights in the mountains

Last weekend we went up the canyon out here. Middle Canyon. It's so nice to drive 10 minutes and have a fire. But it being so close isn't always worth it. This time Papa, Reece & our cousin Makenna came up for the night with us. It was fun, but they got to see how crowded that canyon can be. We had cars going up and down all night (nothing new) and don't forget the loud music that started at 12:30am and played until 5:30am with no breaks. And the loud car wreck we heard up the rode was quite amusing too. Well, as long as no one got hurt. The 2 ambulances had to come up along with the Sheriff and other police cars. CRAZY canyon. Papa was amazed since his kind of camping is backpacking 15 miles into lakes where the only thing you hear are the animals & complete silence that your ears ring. Not something we could do since we rough it in our GIANT trailer :) It was nice to have Reece in town to take a break from the road & enjoy the campfire with us. The girls spent a lot of time in the trailer playing house & coloring. They had fun.

Alex rolls all over. We had him on the couch hanging out.

Can't have a good campfire with out the marshmallows.

Love summer nights in the mountains (with out the noise of course) I'm so sad its coming to an end.

Just Alex

9 months old now. Or son. He is so much fun. So much a boy. His little personality is growing more and more every day. Our family is certainly complete with this little guy here. This is his Saucer. The girls had it too. He's finally liking it. It sure took awhile for him to enjoy it. He's even resting his head here. The girls never did that. It's pretty cute.

When he gets excited he twirls his feet around in circles. They just go & go. And lately he started doing it with his hands too.

This day he didn't look to thrilled to be stuck in the saucer.

I have this exact picture of both the girls sitting in this tub too. I'll have to post all 3 of them. Its fun to compare.

This is the bed in the trailer. Any time now he'll take off crawling Im just waiting.

All boy , no doubt about it.

What? this is a look that reminds me soooo much of his Daddy.

Daddy says his nose is orange in this picture. But I love it!

And here he is today, talking for you and clapping. Sucha a fun age.
